   I made a copy of index.php and renamed it to portfolio.php, then made a blank page called portfolio, and used the portfolio.php as the pages template. But when I go to view the page, even when I add content through Wordpress, it shows up as blank.

   I am on 2.5.

   Also, my index.php is a static page, just with a list of recent entries through a plug-in and no loop.
