Rss entries on different folder to installation folder

    Can anyone advise…

    I have a wordpress installation that I have recently had to changed the name of the installation folder…. ie.. newfolder… was oldfolder

    however I have an rss feed that was based from the oldfolder…. that is now displaying in the url of the new folder… (as expected)

    is it possible to generate the rss feed in a different folder to the wordpress installation?

    ie.. my wordpress files to appear in /newfolder/index.php/feed/
    rss feed to appear in /oldfolder/index.php/feed/

    I wonder if you can use a re-write rule to redirect to the new location. See here for more on feeds and scroll down to the changing addresses section. I haven’t written many of those types of rules but I could see it working.

    Are you using just the WP default feeds or are you creating special feeds somehow?

    Hi Brash… it is just the standard WordPress feed…

    ie.. index.php/feed/

    Just to clarify…

    my new-named posts are in newfolder/index.php/12345/etc
    and the new feed is at newfolder/index.php/feed/

    I would like the posts to remain where they are but for the rss to be at
    oldfolder/index.php/feed

    I have managed to resolve this by doing a simple redirect in the cpanel…
    d’oh!
