Let me first say, I love this theme. It’s a steal that I didn’t have to pay money for it. Rohit, you did a fantastic job.

However, I’m looking to make a slight adjustment to the look of the recent posts (home page) and category search pages. While the small boxes with images might be a nice touch for some users, I’m looking to switch back to the more traditional posts feed layout (as seen in Twenty Twelve and Twenty Eleven). I feel like it fits what I’m trying to accomplish more.

How would I go about changing the code to switch it to that format?

  • Remove the Category.php file to switch to traditional layout for category pages. And similary deleting home.php would get rid of it on homepages.

But, I am afraid doing so would change the look and concept of the theme.

Please make a backup of those files before deleting them. Just in case. 🙂

I am trying out Sixteen 1.2.1.6 Free / Lite. So far I like it. But I too really need the Blog style layout. A 2 column layout where the main left side is a paginated Blog with images, and the right narrow column for widgets and ads.

Removing Category and Home.php simply broke the theme for me.
