Jquery click event for audio tags

    Hi,

    I’m having trouble firing a jQuery click event when a HTML5 <audio> element is clicked. Nothing happens then. The jQuery code is definetely not buggy, as it works perfectly when I test the same code with another HTML element.

    Does the <audio> element have any special behavior for click/onclick events?

    Here’s where I want to add a click event when the “play” button is clicked or when the whole audio element is clicked:
