When logging in as Admin and entering the random password, I get the error message in the topic name: "Error: The Password field is empty" and then go to the edit page.
If I try a submit I'm take back to the login screen, and the cycle restarts.
It seems that the "get" isn't working.
I'm running on Win XP Pro, SP2, IIS, PHP 4.39 and MySQL 4.1. Firefox with cookies enabled.
    Very interesting.

I've seen it a couple of times here, but if it's a wp problem, the devs need lots of info.

It appears to be a WP 1.2.1 problem, as I said, because my other blogs are unaffected, so that rules out my computer or my browsers, don't you think? I had installed some plugins yesterday afternoon after the upgrade, and I got the bright idea to deactivate them one by one to see if one of them was causing the problem. But -- can't login!!
Right now I'm exporting my entries to MT so that I can turn around and import them into TextPattern. I can't see this problem being solved overnight, even tho it appears to have cropped up overnight and I don't see anything specifically addressing this in the bug report.
After my export, I will probably go in and nuke the plugins manually and see if that helps.
I know the order I installed them in so I should be able to figure out which one, if any, is stinking up the pond.
My question to the other people having this problem, were you fine, like me, for awhile or did this happen almost immediately upon upgrading? If you, like me, had access to your site for a time after that, did you install any plugins afterward that may be the culprits? If so, which ones? For me, I installed, in this order (I'm a very particular and methodical creature and I abhor chaos!):
    1. CG Power Pack
    2. Alex King's style switcher
    3. WP Mobile (Alex King)
    4. Text Replace
    5. One click backup and restore for 1.2
    6. WP Amazon (different from ChaitGear series)
    7. WP Player
    8. Image Browser
    Hope this helps someone else.

I highly doubt that it's a WordPress problem at all. Out of all my 1.2.1 blogs, I've never run into this problem.

Before I nuked the plugins, I decided to upload the Mingus wp-login.php file over the WP 1.2.1 wp-login.php file.
    I'm in!
