There are all kind of plugins… and depending on your goal some of them might work for you. Try to search the Plugins section at Extend (scrull up).

Well, if that’s the only thing you want: being able to write in different languages in the same blog AND having the admin interface always in English… you don’t need anything.
You can write in any language in any default WP installation. See this test post.

Will this compatible with Google web crawlers and is this setting Ad-friendly?
That might be a solution – although, personally, I don’t like it.
With earlier versions I used to set up multilingual blogs and WP based site using the Gengo plugin. However, at this moment, there isn’t a stable version of that plugin that works with WP 2.5. So, I am still waiting…
Gengo is the perfect solution when you need the admin interface in multiple languages (for different users/authors) and also displaying the whole frontend in different languages.
Now, I am the wrong person to ask about SE and stuff like that: I write for people not for machines. And what is “ad-friendly”?

I am a bit disappointed that Google still only sees the front page of my blog, not the individual posts. Even tough I have submitted my sitemap.

It will see them. Be patient. If they have relevant content – they will show up.
As I said above: I don’t really care about these “seo magics & tricks” but if you do a search for “multilingual cms” an article of mine will come up in relatively good positions in search engines. Just because of its conetent…
Some content of my posts do show up in Google search, but Google seems to be reluctant to dig further into the individual posts (categories, archives).
Also, if I redirect my blog to a sub-domain (blog.mysite.com), do I need to adjust anything to make Google crawl it?
(Maybe I am a little manic about search engines right now).
I am also interest in a multi-language solution. English back-office but posts in spanish or portuguese to be displayed in different pages, for SP and PT audience. Any solution for this?
