Upgraded site and no get white screen

Earlier this week the last post I created arrived in peoples inboxes with a bunch of viagra links inserted.

I went into the admin and saw that there was a warning that the WP version should be updated to latest version. I did that and immediately got this error message:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 126615552) (tried to allocate 15368907 bytes) in /home/content/c/o/l/xxxxxxxxxxx/html/xxxxxxxxxxx/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 880

I contacted GoDaddy afere researching that I might need the php memory (?) size increased and edited the wp-config.php file. Still no luck.

I went back to GoDaddy several times and followed there advice but no luck. They said to disable the plugins directory by renaming it plugins.bak but still nothing.

GoDady have basically told me it’s my problem so I’m now stuck with a white screen for my quite heavily visited 4 year old site.

I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem and how they resolved it?
