• I can’t figure out why I am getting a second page – “Page 2” – that lists the site archives below my page.

I have selected static page… Can anyone help with this?

It actually seems like the plugin – Conditional Widgets – creates the second “Archives” page once I activate certain widgets in the right sidebar. Weird.

I’m also having this or a similar issue since the second last update (3.1.4), but I don’t use that plugin.

On archive pages, the second page appears below the footer even though I have it set up to use pages with 10 posts selected as the number of posts per page.

I’ve gone through a trial and error today deactivating all plugins.

These are the plugins I currently use. I deactived all of them today and now I can’t reach the category pages at all. Currently reactivating one at a time:

    Akismet
    BulletProof Security Pro
    Custom sidebars
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Regenerate Thumbnails
    WordPress SEO
    Yop Poll Plugin

    Results of reactivating:

Akismet – no change – archive links refer back to home page
BulletProof Security Pro – no change – archive links refer back to home page
Custom sidebars – no change – archive links refer back to home page
Jetpack by WordPress.com – no change – archive links refer back to home page
Regenerate Thumbnails – no change – archive links refer back to home page
NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati – no change – archive links refer back to home page
***WordPress SEO – Category links begin to work again (first check), on second check start going to “Ooops, page not found”
Yop Poll Plugin – No change

So without WordPress SEO turned on, my category links just go back to the home page, with it turned on I get “Oops page not found” but prior to turning off the plugins, I was getting the second page for categories below the the first page of the categories – which now appear to have vanished.

I am using WordPress SEO over at another website with a different template and I’m not having the same issues.

And now that I have gone through WordPress Seo and reset all the settings this is happening:

From static front page: menu works fine, category links working again, but page 2 is appearing below the footer again.

From all other pages – only 1st level menu items work.

Again no issue using wordpress seo with other websites (I have 6). This is the only one using customizr.
