I'm trying to set up a private journal, in which only users I grant access to can see posts.
I installed and activated private-wp, and after logging out, I get sent to the login page when I try to view the home page. Great!
However, I'm still able to pull the posts through the feed at
http://example.com/wordpress/?feed=rss2
How can I prevent this?

I use Members Only for similar purposes. There's a built-in feed key feature that will let you set it so that the user would either:
1. be open to view
2. require a feed key
3. need to login
In looking at it, it looks like he's got this option open as a stand-alone plug-in here. So you would probably be able to grab it and block access to your feeds.
Hope that helps. :)
