• Hi. I’m running a VPS server with 4GB RAM and fast CPU. There are plenty of resources showing. I have one WordPress site (latest version 3.7.1) that has 16,000 images in 1900 galleries. When I go to ‘Add gallery/images’ it takes a huge amount of time to bring the page up, sometimes even timing out altogether. I’m also on a 40Mb broadband connection. Other sites work fine, even with NextGen installed.

Can I speed this up somehow or can you suggest a tweak or some checks for this?

    Thanks ini advance

@vero44 – Aside from the possibilities behind what may be a sheer size issue of the images, I am not seeing those minimal server details as something that should be having any problems.

Have you checked for possible plugin conflicts on the site?

Hi. Yes, have disabled plugins to test with no difference. When NextGen loads up that gallery page, what is it doing? Can I look at any log file (or invoke one) to see what is taking the time?

All suggestions gratefully accepted as the site is pretty unusable at present.

@vero44 – Unfortunately we do not have any specific logging routines or reports showing anything like what you are describing.

You may be able to get more information reviewing your database access logs and/or checking if any error_log entries are being made.

Thanks. Do you believe that this quantity of galleries/images is too high or have you tested your plugin with numbers like these?

I’m happy to pay for pro support too if we can resolve this issue, would that help?
