   This is my first time using WordPress. I installed it in directory (/WordPress) and moved the index to my root. The home page of wordpress loads fine. All of the links work, except the Archive and About links across the top of the page show a http 404 error when I click on them. Do I need to edit another file like I did the index.php file to point in the right direction? Please help!

   Those are hardcoded links (a very bad practice by theme authors) in your theme's header.php.

   Actually, you could read about it at the theme's homepage...
