After installing plugin and adding recommended code in side bar to display collapsing archives, archives show up with default setting but nothing is able to collapse by clicking on arrows...

can anyone tell me why this wouldn't work in my sidebar?

I've tried this and Fancy Archives, both producing the same result, nothing happens when clicking on the year, month or arrow graphic to expand...

    thanks

(i've disabled the plugin until i can figure out how to make it work)

it is possible that it is not compatible with your theme. If you leave it up broken (or try putting it in, but commenting it out with html comments <!-- comment -->, I will try to take a look at it.

    Thx Rob,

We are using a custom theme, which may be the problem --but what specifically?

I'll throw the code back in there commented out.

    Rob,

FYI, I do have JS code in my sidebar (Flickr, etc) --so i know that much is working

I've left it live on my site for you to see

    thx!

    Elana,

Sorry for not responding. Most people post questions and bugs directly on my blog, so I did not see these.

I just checked out your site though, and it looks like the plugin is working.

Might I also suggest the collapsing categories plugin, which provides similar functionality, but for categories.

    Rob,

Thank you for your response. This wasn't an issue with your plugin at all, rather my custom theme was missing the <?php wp_head(); ?> in its header.php file.

    It works fine after that!

    Thanks for this great plugin.
