I just installed the latest upgrade, and start to receive alerts from my log inspector:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function wptouch_post_classes() in /var/www/fabibcc/wp-content/plugins/wptouch/themes/foundation/default/formerror.php on line 4

    How to fix ?

  • @stevenp94,

That would seem to me like an incomplete update. Remove the plugin and re-install it and see if that helps.

    @stephen94
I have repeatedly been getting the same message in the error log since updating to v3.1.1. Please report back if a re-install works for you.

We fixed some code that might be responsible for that error on some installations. We’re diagnosing issues reported here in the forums and will push out a fix release soon once we can include a batch of improvements.

Sorry to tell you that reinstalling 3.1.1 from scratch doesn’t solve the problem. We all must wait for the next update, I hope will be soon 😀

Yes, re-installing won’t fix the issue, only an update. We’re working on a batch of fixes, a new release will be out thursday.

Re-install fixed it for me, thanks!

I hope for a quick solution: I’m getting tons af alert emails from my server 😛

Win7 WAMP localhost and WP 3.8, upgraded WPT from 1.9.8.9 to 3.1.1, now admin screens are all blank.

e.g. on the What’s New page I see a [Notifications] button (that does nothing when clicked), the page heading, followed by a line that only says “Loading image”. The rest of the page is blank.

I deactivated the plugin and reinstalled but no difference. Will the next upgrade address this issue, too?

Please upgrade to version 3.1.3 and see if it fixes your issue.

No, WPT 3.1.3 did not fix anything for me.

You’ll also want to ensure that your server is setup to allow WPtouch to write its themes and extensions. That means setting the /wp-content/wptouch-data/ directory and contents to 777. If there is no wptouch-data directory, it is likely because the wp-content directory is not allowing it to be created.

Once permissions are verified as given, WPtouch v3.1+ should complete its installation allowing all admin areas to be displayed.

Details are in this documentation: http://www.bravenewcode.com/support/knowledgebase/themes-or-extensions-cannot-be-downloaded/

It’s not a permissions problem. The wptouch-data directory was created without any problem. I even removed the 1.9x version and reinstalled the 3.1.3 plugin. The directory was recreated as it should but the admin screens are still blank. If I use Firebug to change all the display:none rules to display:block I can get to the admin settings but this is a bad way to go about it, and I certainly couldn’t ask a client to do that.

Please update to 3.1.4 and let us know if it solves your issue.

admin screens are displaying now. thanks

Glad we were able to help!

If you don’t mind, we would welcome your posting a review of the plugin: http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/wptouch#postform!
