Support » Plugin: Squelch Tabs and Accordions Shortcodes » Accordion Rendering As Open First

First, I want to say thanks for the plugin. Tried others but your is working the best.

My issue is that I have added the accordion via PHP to my theme template and it’s working but the form I’ve embedding into the accordion is displaying first then it closes.

Is it possible to have the accordion render first as closed so visitors never see the full form unless they click on the accordion tab?

    I mobetman2,

Sorry for the slow reply, your question slipped past me somehow.

Do you mean you see the form while the page is loading, but then the accordion collapses so that you can’t see it any more?

Or do you mean the accordion’s always got one pane open?

The first situation you mentioned. you see the form while the page is loading, but then the accordion collapses so that you can’t see it any more.

If possible, I’d like the form to never display unless the accordion is opened by the user.

Not much that can be done about that, it’s down to the page load speed. The JavaScript that turns the HTML into an interactive accordion can’t run until the page has loaded, if things take a while to load then the contents will be visible for a while. I’d recommend taking a look at what’s slowing down the page load speed.

Ok, thanks for getting back. I’ll check your suggestion.
