    Hi~see you again πŸ™‚
I spent almost 6 hours to editing language files for “zh_TW” users ( Traditional Chinese ).
Because there is only “zh_CN” for Simplified Chinese’s users inside this plugin.
in fact, there are so many different words between these two language types.
( By the way, the people in Hong Kong are also using Traditional Chinese, but “zh_HK” and “zh_TW” have not many different words. )

Just a moment ago, I successfully tested the language files which are edited by myself.
Please add the following language files into TaplePress.
( of course, you can test it if you want. )

download link: ( my dropbox space, it’s safe )
    https://db.tt/kuGAiMtr

I compressed two files into a .zip file. ( .po and .mo )

If you prefer, here is some information about this translation:
My name in English: Lu Yu Xin
    zh_TW means: δΈζ–‡ ( 繁體 )
    My Country: Taiwan

but in the future, if need to distinguish the difference about “δΈζ–‡ ( 繁體 )” between Taiwan and Hong Kong ( I think maybe some Hong Kong people would like to ),

here is the difference of all Chinese Language types:
zh_TW is “繁體中文 ( 台灣 )” for Taiwan,
zh_HK is “繁體中文 ( 香港 )” for Hong Kong,
    zh_CN is “η°‘ι«”δΈζ–‡ ( δΈεœ‹ )” for China.

    Hope these can be helpful.
And I have already bought some coffee for you. πŸ™‚
Wish you have a wonderful Christmas this month and keep developing in the future.

    17:00 update:
Sorry, there’s something wrong with this post.
In fact, the issue is still there. Sometimes OK, sometimes not.
I don’t know why the searching problem appears again.
    I’ll keep trying.

Please forget the following post content. πŸ™

    Hi,

I bring you a good information!
After I added the Traditional Chinese language support files (zh_TW),
    Guess what?

The issue about searching with Chinese characters while using iPhone is resolved! I don’t know why it happened but it’s great for me!

Seems like a reward for my working on zh_TW language files? haha… πŸ™‚

    Anyway, the problem is resolved.
    Thank you!

    Infomation updates again.

I find out the reason about the issue of searching Chinese characters while using iPhone.

When I input Chinese characters in the search field, I must hit the “enter button” to make table to display the result.

But on the desktop, the result will always display when I am typing.

    Thanks again!
    Finally I found the solution.

    Hi,

first: Thanks for the translation! That’s really cool!
I’ll check it shortly and then gladly add it to the plugin with your information.
If there are any problems, I’ll just write you an email. Also, I’ll add you to my email list of translators and notify before upcoming releases in the future, so that the translation can be updated (if necessary).

About the search issue: The search there is totally independent from the used translation of TablePress. However, that thing with hitting “Enter” makes sense. Most likely, the iPhone is not triggering the “KeyUp” event in the text field. So, good to hear that you found a solution πŸ™‚

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
