Hi!
I will have a site with read only material, where comments will never be accepted/published.
I know you can select the Comments option off and comment the script in a couple of files to eliminate all mention to comments. I have done that before. But I am never satisfied with the results and I when I validate the site I get a lot of remarks related to the way a solved the problem
My question: Is there any theme that lacks the Comments option? I would like to have a "clean" and not by me damaged theme.

Just delete <?php comments_template(); ?> from single.php
Also, don't forget to remove the comment link from index.php, archive.php (And any other template file that might have it)
Template_Tags/comments_popup_link
(the line posted by LenK will remove the comment form itself)

Okey, guys. Thanks! I will give it a try. I have done it before and I was not satisfied with the result. But this time I have at least some guidance.
I hope I don't have to. But I will get back to you if I need further help.
