Magazine Basic – Child Theme Layout Problem

    Hi Guys,

    I’m having a bit of trouble with my child theme, nothing too drastic but I don’t know how to fix it.

    My theme is Magazine Basic 3.0.4

    Full width layout (as per the template option) and left/right full width sidebars

    I carried out the steps in the Codex exactly to install, and the child theme appears in WP admin

    Clicking the preview button everything seems to be fine, but…

    When I activate the child this what happens…

    The title header and description are in place ok

    The left sidebar widgets are moved into the right sidebar

    The right sidebar widgets are below the header and above the the navbar creating the biggest amount of whitespace ever seen in the history of the web 🙂

    2 deactivated widgets appear to have reactivated by themselves.

    Everything else appears normal

    No other templates have been altered.

    I imagine it is something simple, but I’m not a coder and don’t know what to look at.

    Can anyone help please.
