• Yesterday, I released version 1.9 of the Live Comment Preview plugin. This version adds support for the Gravatar settings in WordPress 2.5 and includes some bug fixes that were posted on this forum.

    Upgrade Notes:
The comment HTML in the live-comment-preview.php file works for the default WordPress theme (Kubrick). If you use another theme, you will likely need to update the HTML when upgrading. Copying the HTML from your current version of Live Comment Preview should work just fine.

Please reply to this thread if you find any bugs in this release.

    Thanks,

    bradt

I need help customizing the plugin. I’d like it to imitate the style of the comments on my site, but I’m not sure how to go about it. I removed the gravatar, but I’d also like to change the name so it isn’t italicized, change the background and website links colors, and put the date next to the person’s name instead of “Says.” Here’s an example of the comments on my site:

So, can you help me make the preview look just like an actual comment?

Hello – Great plugin, thanks for developing. I’m having an issue where the footer info, gravatar and comments all get pushed to the bottom of the page. I’m sure this is an easy fix with a little code. Any ideas?

    Thanks again.

Extract style=”clear: both; from the plugin code. Done.

While 1.9 works better than 1.8 did, it’s still interacting badly with AJAX Comments; the preview clears all existing comments from the page. 1.7 works perfectly with the other plugin. I’m using Kubrick.

Was that a response to my question? It didn’t seem to change anything.

Okay, I’ve installed this plugin and it works fine, but I would like to place the comment preview above the submit button and below the textbox.

Here is a screenshot of what it currently looks like.

I have also tried sticking the “<?php live_preview() ?>” line in the comments.php of my theme to change its position but it did not work.

ps: remember, above the submit button and below the textbox.

    Thanks in advance.
