Does anyone know if there’s a way to alter the pre-set title generated for a contact form?

I ask because I’ve using quite a few similar contact forms and I’ve based each upon a prior version so, for example, my latest was given this name,

    [contact-form-7 id=”xxx” title=”xxxContactForm_copy_copy_copy_copy”]

I would like to be able to tidy up the title= ” …” part to something meaningful whilst leaving the id as given.

I have tried to search this in the forum but it generated too many replies to let me discover the answer.

    Thanks in advance to all.

    Kind regards

In the admin page of the plugin, try clicking on the title text.

I’ve tried clicking on the string which appears at the top of the relevant form, ie under the heading
“Copy this code and paste it into your post, page or text widget content.”

    For example, line contained,

    [contact-form-7 id=”xxxx” title=”xxx_copy_copy_copy_copy_copy”]

but typing new or deleting old characters doesn’t make any difference, the old characters do not change.

So I’m a little confused still.

Could you explain a little more.

    Thanks in advance.

No, I mean the title “xxx_copy_copy_copy_copy_copy” shown above the code.

    Ahhhh! Now I understand!

    Thank you soooo much.

Now I can tidy things up.

Your form is brilliant and so easy to use (even for users like me!)

    Thanks again.
