• Is it possible somehow to add a form on the “Confirmation Thank You Page”?

So that once the user has confirmed his subscription (by clicking the link on the double-opt-in email), he’s taken to a confirmation page which includes a form where we ask the user to update his profile (optional).

In this case we can ask for additional information like area of interest, age etc. which would be great for making better segments and more relevant campaigns.

  • Hey Peter,

Thanks for getting in touch. While the Confirmation Thank You Page can’t get its own form added, by default it already includes a link to “manage your preferences”, which would take subscribers to their update profile page. You could instruct new subscribers to click that in the customizable text on the page or even include the *|UPDATE_PROFILE|* merge tag in order to create your own link:

For more support on this, I recommend searching our knowledge base or getting in touch with our regular support chimps through email or live chat at http://kb.mailchimp.com/chat. They’ll be happy to help out.

If you have any plugin-specific questions, feel free to pass those our way here.

This is also what I want to achieve as a goal for the confirmed subscriptions. I want to get more info from the users directly on the confirmation page without clicking Update Preferences. Most lazy users won’t be clicking that Update Preference and just leave or close that page. The update link is good but the form is perfect if available right off the bat.

    Hi Criscaducoy,

Thanks for hopping in the forum. Currently, the steps that Gabe explained earlier are the best way for confirmed subscribers to update their profile. Since the profile update process is handled on MailChimp’s end, you might want to submit that idea to the MailChimp feedback form here: http://mailchimp.com/contact/feedback/ The developers and designers watch that form closely for ideas and feature improvements.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for the fast response mc_dominic. I am sorry as I thought you were directly connected to Mailchimp. Will contact them shortly. Thanks
