    Why is the css/layout of the regular search form (the one used with the shortcode) different from the one used in “Toggle Form:”.

    The first one doesn’t look nearly as good as the toggle form, is there a way to use the toggle version all the time?

    I’ve tried adding some custom css to the shortcode form but I’m having trouble due to the lack of divs and such in the code.

    Unfortunately there is a CSS bug in the current BP Profile Search version. When using the shortcode, try using it this way:

    <div id="buddypress">[bp_profile_search_form]</div>
