Newbie fresh install of 2.5 on server version 4.1.22-standard. Downloaded 2.5, unzipped, followed the 5 min setup, uploaded via MS expression web, installed, logged in and got the dreded "blank page after login" with the following errors at the top:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/scoot2/public_html/wp-config.php:1) in /home/scoot2/public_html/wp-login.php on line 202

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/scoot2/public_html/wp-config.php:1) in /home/scoot2/public_html/wp-login.php on line 214

and after that, nothing. Zip. Nada.

I've read a lot of the forum stuff about removing the "./" in the index file, checking to be sure that the editor didn't add any tags, page breaks or spaces, etc. Nothing.

Tried the fresh install. Tried a new DB. Tried clearing the DB. Tried yelling at the DB, computer, the sky and the people below as I opened the window to throw the laptop out the window.

I just thought I'd check and see if anyone had any new info before I chuck it all and resort to the "Install 4 Free" folks who definitely know more about this than I do.

    Sigh.

    Anyone?

Your site seems to be ok. If so, please explain what you did and mark this resolved.

Wiped it all out and did a reload from the Control Panel on the server. Seemed to make it a bit happier, probably something in Expression Web adding spaces or whatever.

If your CP has the upload ability and the ability to unzip, I'd just upload the zip file and expand it from CP.
