    Hi all.

I’ve messed a bit with the feed-rss2.php (adding nodes and so on) so I can use the XML that is generated somewhere else on my site. People should not read this, it’s just to use on an other application that needs that kind of XML.

But now I’m bit screwed. Because now people can’t subscribe anymore to the normal feed.

Is here a way to seperate these two? Like templates? So I don’t have to overwrite the original feed-rss2.php?

    Thanks
    Jelle

    Got it.

I justed put the original feed-rss2.php file back up, and made a copy of wp-rss2.php, changed the name and the link inside, and I’m good to go 🙂

    Bye

    Hi Jellelle,

I’ve been trying to create a custom feed, actually all I want to do is change the post title to include the category (but I don’t want to change the main rss2 feed).

    So I,

    1. Copied wp-rss2.php and wp-includes>feed-rss2.php
    2. Changed the title in feed-rss2.php and saved as feed-rss2-custom.php
    3. Changed wp_rss2.php to have feed=custom and point to feed-rss2-custom.php, saved as wp-rss2-custom.php

but it tells me it’s not a valid feed. If I make the same change to the title in rss2 it shows up.
Am I missing a step, did you do pretty much the same thing?

    Found the answer at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/170995

    Cheers!
