My site doesn't load when I activate javascript option | WordPress.org

Hello,

Untill now I’ve been using autoptimize only to optimize html because Javascript option and CSS option gave me problems. I’ve updated my theme and wordpress and I’ve tried to activate javascript option again, checking lso the option “javascript in the head” and my site doesn’t loads, and appears this message at the top of the screen:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class JSMin_UnterminatedStringException in /home4/ftworld/public_html/sala-fw/wp-content/themes/website/drone/ext/minify/js.php on line 312

So I deactivated the javacript optimization again.

I don’t know what happenned because some time ago, when activated this option the problem whas only in the images but now dosn’t load anything,
Could you tell me where is the problem?

Hi Sandy;
The error-message actually is from your theme, which seems to have minify of its own, conflicting with Autoptimize’s. What theme are you using?

“website”, that’s nearly impossible to Google! 🙂

Nothing much to be found about the JS/CSS minification in the theme (it’s mentioned once or twice in the support-threads). I contacted the author to ask if/ how this can be solved (configured) in the theme, I’ll keep you posted on his feedback.

OK, just got confirmation from the author he’ll add checks in his code to avoid instantiating the minifiers if they’re already there.

Marking this topic as solved (as it isn’t an Autoptimize issue, really).
