Just updated to v131128, and one thing is different:
I hit “Empty Spam” and wait a bit, and get a message that says “592 comments permanently deleted,” but the total number of spam comments only goes down from 592 to 591.
I try again and same thing: “591 comments permanently deleted,” but the total is now just 590.
So the button is working now, but only clearing out one spam comment at a time, which is interesting.

More info:
I whittled the spam comments down to 5 (manually) and hit “empty spam,” and it worked — all five were gone.
Anything I tried in the 100+ range didn’t work, though.

Just revered to the old/stable version (111203) of the plugin.
The new versions were causing too many problems (there were others beyond the spam issue) and I wasn’t getting any support here at the support forum, so this was the simplest fix.
@nancy’s Baby Names I apologize for all the trouble! There were a few rocky updates as this plugin had not been updated in over two years. However, the latest version (v131206) contains many fixes and better compatibility-checking. See also: http://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-cache/changelog/
Could you please give that a shot and let me know if you’re still having trouble? Thanks so much!

I updated to the new version of Quick Cache maybe 24 hours ago, and since then I haven’t been able to empty my spam comment folder using the “Empty Spam” button. I press it, wait…and it times out.
I can delete spam comments one at a time, and I can delete them in batches of 20 (by selecting everything on the page, choosing “delete permanently,” and clicking “apply”). But deleting more than a certain number with the “one at a time” method gives me a 503 error, and deleting in batches of 20 takes a weirdly long time (like a full minute each time) and sometimes gives me a 500 error.
(And, with both of the last two methods, I typically get notifications that say things like “Quick Cache: detected changes. Found cache files for Post ID: 30674 (auto-purging).”)
Has anyone else encountered problems deleting spam comments since the update? Any advice?
Thanks,
Nancy
