Remove duplicate line breaks and HTML line breaks

Hi,

I was wondering whether I am doing anything wrong, as I often have HTML emails that get posted to postie. One thing I notice is that every often, new paragraphs in the HTML email result in 3 or more line breaks in the WordPress Post.

I have gone through the setting and set everything that has to do with line breaks to either way, however the emails always come in the same way, so I feel that these switches aren’t really doing what they are supposed to.

It is important for me to retain emails in HTML in their native HTML format, as the senders often use color-coding or make thing stand out in bold etc.

These are my current settings:

Wrap content in pre tags: NO
Filter newlines: NO
Replace newline characters with html line breaks (<br />): NO
