My site runs just as fast after the 2.5 upgrade, but when I post (publish) an entry, it takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r for it to create the post. Firefox will occasionally time out, and IE7 will just sit and wait until I finally get annoyed and start it over again (thank God for copy/paste).
The rest of the admin panel runs fast, as does the site itself.
Any ideas?

you have the google xml sitemap plugin running ? then maybe have a look here : http://wordpress.org/support/topic/171865?replies=10

I don't have that plugin running, so it must be something else. Even after the upgrade to 2.5.1, the problem remains.
