Chaging sidebar position

Hello,

I can´t seem to make changes on my stylsheet or don´t kow how to do it.
I´m using the Origin theme and created a Child theme, on which I´m trying to make the chages.
I want to move my sidebar from right to left, so I did the changes in this part of the code:

	margin: 0 0 30px 0;
	min-height: 180px;
}
#sidebar-primary {
	float: left;
	width: 27.65957446808511%;
}

but nothing happened, sidebar is still on the right side.
I also tried to change my sidebar background before life this and it didn´t work.
