Could WordPress be able to do this?

I might be getting a job with a company that I can’t go into much detail about their product, but I’ll give you the basics.

In essence it will be like an arcade/slot machine that will be connected to the Internet. People will be able to sign up and create an account/profile to keep track of their scores and game credits. They want people to be able to login on their website and see their account/profile as well.

How can you have WordPress do this or how far can it go before having to make my own PHP and MySQL backend? So basically when they create an account on the machine it will need to create in on the WordPress website as well automatically.
