  • I am having this same issue here as well, I have posted on the modern tribe forums, I have not yet heard back for a solution, but I am sure they will continue to look at it, I have had good success with their support over there. See my ticket here: http://tri.be/support/forums/topic/error-on-event-category-list-view/#post-77227

    Hi Andrew and Denise,

This should be fixed as of the next maintenance release. If you feel comfortable doing so then as a temporary workaround you can replace the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-template-factory.class.php with this alternative version.

Though such a change will be wiped when next you update, the next update ought to incorporate the same fix so there should be no problem. I hope that helps – and apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks! The alt version did the trick.

(Though I did get “Page Not Found” in the page title, but that might be a conflict with WP SEO. Not a biggie.)

Certainly if there are no events The Events Calendar will force a 404 status (since you have effectively accessed an archive page containing no posts) – and some themes and plugins may take things a step further and display that fact in the title tag and elsewhere – but related presentational details are not really something we can help with there, I’m afraid.

    Hey there,

I just wanted to let you know that a fix for this issue is included in our upcoming version 3.3. Keep an eye out on your WordPress Plugins page for an update. Thanks for your patience while we worked on this!

    Cheers,
    Leah

Hi Leah, thanks! (Fwiw, installing 3.3 resulted in a corrupted .htaccess file, but my guy says that’s the kind of thing that’s the luck of the draw on any plugin update.)

Glad that worked, Andrew. Sorry you had problems with your .htaccess file – not quite sure why that would have happened, but certianly do let us know (in a fresh thread) if it’s something you experience during future updates.
