Hi, I just created an .htaccess file for my blog in order to use the /post title/ permalink option. Do I need to keep the .htaccess file writeable by wordpress all the time in order to use permalinks, or can I secure my .htaccess file? Thx.

You can have it writable just for the time it takes for WordPress to write the rules to the file, then you can change back the permissions.

Posted 1 year ago #Wouldn't you have to reset the permissions every time you wanted/needed to adjust the Permalinks?
