I have just re-installed the plugin in my upgraded site on a new server (PHP 5.3.27, Apache 2.2.25, WP 3.7.1) but the same jobs with identical settings to the old site, now don’t show either the progress bars or on the admin toolbar.

So there is no indication of whether the job has succeeded or failed. Nothing unless I check the backups or logs.

Please go with FTP to the BackWpup Temp dir normally under wp-content/uploads/backwpup-????-temp and delete it.

Hi Daniel, unfortunately it made no difference. I deleted the temp file and ran a simple DB backup job. Nothing – no progress bars, or admin bar. Then I tried it in a different browser (thinking that maybe some of my Chrome extensions might affect it) – same problem. Nothing.

The backup runs, but there is no indication of activity.

Could it have something to do with the type of cron job running? Earlier today I had problems getting the standard WP cron tasks running, and so I set the alternate_wp_cron to true in wp-config – as per your FAQ.

With alternate_wp_cron the job must start. i think the best way is if i have a look into our installaion. Pleas mal me to d dot huesken at inpsyde dot com.

Not sure what happened, but it’s now working properly. Many thanks.
