• I have had this problem since the new upgrade.

I have my permalinks set to create the name of the article

i.e. blog name/name-of-the-article as the link

But instead it’s setting up the link at

    blog name/number/

    not blog name/p-number

On my website, if you click on the link from the short version to the long version of the article, it says it’s not found. But it IS in the dashboard and the short version that appears on the home page IS picking up on the information I’ve written.

    My blog is http://www.MarketingWithIntegrity.com

    HELP!

-Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and renaming your WordPress .htaccess file. If that works, then try reading Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure again.

I’ll do the first part and get back here.

Although I’m going to see if I can remove the permalink and then put it back. Which sometimes works with plug ins.

I have read the Permlink doc. I didn’t set any custom links. I used what was there and just clicked it to make it the default.

If anyone sees this thread, do not follow Tara’s instructions or you will make things worse.

Hoping that someone has a way for me to fix this problem.

To clarify.. I am using the Permalink Default of Post Name. Which takes the name from the title.
