local host installation issue

    i m trying to install wordpress on my pc.

    i have created a database from phpmyadmin
    download 3.7.1 version
    copy it to a folder name conference and unzip

    trying to localhosat/conference

    after first screen when i write the name of database i.e. confsogp
    user root
    password : blank

    it shows
    Error establishing a database connection

    please help

    Hi Adeel,

    Just to confirm if you go into the ‘conference’ folder under your localhost section all the WordPress files are in there (wp-config.php, wp-cron.php, wp-settings.php etc)?

    I assume those credentials match the user that you have created in your MySQL database?
    Have you set the ‘Database Host’ to ‘localhost’.

    matter has been resolved.

    but when i create new data base its not made by root and blank password.
