Can't upload media

    Hi

    I have a problem: i cannot upload any media at all. It just freezes. I made it work just a FEW times. But all of a sudden, i havent been able to upload anything at all.

    It’s really frustrating and i’ve googled and can now see this is a common issue. I’ve tried changing my file settings to 777, deactivating a lot of plugins etc. Nothing of that worked! Even checked with my host, n it was nothing there.

    What can I do?

    Has this just stopped happening?
    Is this a new site?
    what version of WP are you on?

    you need to rule out

    server permissions
    file size
    wordpress
    plugins/theme
    your PC

    looks like you’ve looked at server, I presume you’ve tried various files and formats, various file sizes?
    Would be worth ruling out your PC, can you upload images to other things eg can you upload to http://pixlr.com/
    Can you try an upload to your website from another PC?

    its a new site

    latest version of WP (3.7.1)

    the file size is always small when i upload, just images, tried different sizes

    i am on a macbook. tried various formats and sizes

    i tried uploading from my phone and it worked from there

    Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? OR tried another browser?

    when i go to setting > media, i can’t even see the uploading files section. just the image sizing part

    That suggests a local or ISP issue. Have you tested your computer using a different ISP?
