[resolved] Filosofo Comments Preview Plugin - Wordpress 2.5 Error! (6 posts)

Non-administration users (i.e. contributors) are seeing admin-level menus:

They see "Settings" which has under it "Comments Preview" -- related to Filosofo Comments Preview (version 1.0.4).

Any thoughts to get rid of this? Thanks!

Good catch. I'd set the permission to be such that you can "edit posts," but apparently that includes contributors. I've updated the plugin to version 1.0.5 and changed the permission so that you have to be able "manage options" to change the options.

Thanks for creating this plugin:) But I am having problems. When I preview a comment and post it, the page always gets redirected to http://[post-permalink]#comment-2000

I don't know where that 2000 came from. I think it should be redirected with the comment post ID but I dunno why it didn't. There is no problem with the functionality though, the comment is still previewed and posted correctly, the problem is just the wrong redirection.

The problem is, but I'm also not sure is this happens only to me, the page doesn't load with the wrong redirection.

Please check out my page at komski.net. Sorry for the different language. You could try posting at my latest entry. Thanks!

What you're seeing when you get a blank screen at http://[post-permalink]#comment-2000 is the result of some sort of fatal PHP error. Your errors are being hidden (which is a good idea on a public site), so you'll need to check your site's error logs to see what the error is.

The error could be caused by anything, and might not be specifically related to this plugin.

Ah, yes:) Thanks. Looked-up the error logs and found that some other plugin produces errors (wasn't WP 2.5 compatible).

I'm just wondering why this is the only plugin I found that enables comment previewing. I really wanted this:D over post-comment editing which complicates things.

    Well, thanks again! Goodluck!
