gr33nmanI used Wordpress Automatic Upgrade with only one hiccup. I used the automatic option. It choked gracefully during deactivation of the plugins, but continued the upgrade. I had to reinstall the Akisment API. Suggestions for the interface include:
- When I first clicked the automatic link, a white bar showed up. I did not realize it was a progress bar. It might be nice if it actually looked more like a progress bar in a faux dialog box. Either that or everything else could gray out and the dialog box could be evident while it does it's thing. I clicked the link a second time because I thought something was missing or hadn't rendered inside what was actually the progress bar.
- A progress report at the end of what was done.
- Something along the way that actually gives you a visual clue as to the buttons to click and in what order: 'Step one, Step two, Step three, Finished!
I am impressed and glad for a quick way to upgrade my various clients' wordpress blogs.
