What the heck did I do?

    Everything looks all wonky with the layout, things stretching to where they don’t normally go, and this is new, I tried updating wordpress to the latest and now I even get some error “blockUI requires jQuery v1.2.3 or later! You are using v1.10.2” everytime I switch pages in my dashboard, tried updating the jQuery with plugins but nothing has done the trick.
    Sorry if I’m a totally ignorant newbie here, I don’t keep much with my site any more so it’s part me getting rusty I’m sure.
    Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

    “blockUI requires jQuery v1.2.3 or later! You are using v1.10.2”

    This leads me to believe you have a plugin which is not liking the new WP update. This is a known issue.. and has to do with the way the plugin calls jQuery.

    Deactivate ALL of your plugins. Then, go back and check your page. The formatting should be okay (minus whatever your plugins added).

    Now, go back and switch them on a few at a time. Each time, going back to your front-end to see if it “breaks”.

    What you are doing is narrowing down which plugin is causing the issue.

    Alternatively.. it may be your theme causing the issue… in which case you can switch to the default TwentyThirteen theme to see if the issue persists. If it does not, it is your theme.

    Looks like I’m going to have to just drop that theme and find a new one. Sad… so many hours upon hours put into customizing it. Getting so fed up with wordpress, maybe I’ll start from scratch in html.

    Did you identify it is, in fact, the theme you were using?

    I’m sure we can find a fix if we dig deep enough 🙂

    It was indeed the theme, thanks again for the help.
    I guess it’s time to find a new theme now.
