After some plug in details caused me to receive a database error, I was unable to access my dashboard. I changed the name of the plug ins folder in FTP and it came back online.

I then deleted my plugins from the server so that I could individually re-upload the backed up plugins to see which had caused the issue.

However, whilst in FTP my plugins seem to upload fine, they do not display on the server, and when I try to upload new plugins on the server, i get this error.
    “Could not create directory. /home/sites/tbdowenholland.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/

    Plugin install failed.”

This basically means that I have lost all functionalities on the website.

It has been suggested that it is a permissions issue. My Public HTML, WP-Content and Plugins file are all set to 755.

Any ideas? I’m getting pretty panicky since I installed a back up that did not fix the issue!
