uploader worked before changing to pretty permalinks

    Inline photo uploader worked before I switched over to pretty permalinks. It was generating all the files, thumbnails, etc. Now after switching to pretty links, the uploader seems to be working, but when upload finishes, I get a red message that states,

    “Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/mywebsitehere.com/httpdocs/diary/wp/wp-content/uploads/2008/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

    All permissions have been checked and re-checked. Anyone have any ideas about this?
