    As of version 2.5 the plugin WP-Sticky working anymore. The blog doesnt even work at all. So is there any replacement for this plugin. or does version 2.5 have a built in feature of this?

    It works in mine. Do you have the latest version and is it installed correctly?

    You need to be using WP-Sticky 1.30 Beta before activating the plugin, see the link I pasted above to get it.

    I got the same problem but then changed both options under sticky settings to NO.

    The blog then began working again.

    My problem is that even though it works, now, it still displays a date on the sticky post instead of the optionally selected "banner". Makes the first post on my blog look aged.

    Not sure what it means to use the plugin before activating??

    Tried to activate then change the settings like mentioned above but I get:
    The page you requested is no longer here [error 404]

    Oh I did get the 1.30 Plugin. The 1.30 stopped the DB Errors from the earlier copy I was trying to use.

    It feels really close.....

    The reason why you are not getting any posts when wp-sticky is activated is because wp_sticky table is not created in your database (this only applies to WP-Sticky 1.10 with WP 2.5). So in order to solve this problem, you need to download WP-Sticky 1.30 beta, so that upon activation, the table will get created and everything will work normally.

    Hello World

    @Gamerz: 2 thumbs up!

    @Still not working: My 2 cents. Make sure that the name of the directory of this plugin is wp-sticky. So you should have this: .../wp-content/plugins/wp-sticky

    Hint: In the wp-admin, go to "plugins" and then click "edit" to see the code for WP-Sticky 1.30, and you will see this in the 3rd line of code:

    load_plugin_textdomain('wp-sticky', 'wp-content/plugins/wp-sticky');

    I was making the mistake of naming the plugin directory as sticky ! because it was so called in the earlier version. In the 1.30 ver, its wp-sticky.

    @wincliff: That made a big difference with the name. I dont smoke crack but I could swear there is another thread telling folks to name it sticky not wp-sticky....

    Thanks...

    Prior to the official WordPress Plugin directory my plugins name are just /sticky/ without the "wp-" but after the official directory is up, I registered my plugin as "wp-sticky" and hence if I still used back the old name which is "sticky" it will not be able to auto update.

    @marrngtn: :-) Shakespeare could only be philosophical with a

    Whats in a name
    attitude only because he didn't use sticky/wp-sticky! But well, it is wp-sticky...lol...enjoy!

    Gamerz: I did. Thx for the time but it just isn't working on 2.5.1 for me. I even have the latest version.

    Before it wiped out the blog temporarily, and now the posts just don't sticky in the latest version.

    Update:

    I got it to work. There was some kind of conflict with one of my other non-activated plugins. I had adhesive in there along with two older image browser plugins (not needed in 2.5) that were non-activated. Once removed, wp-sticky now works fine.

    Very nice.

    Update II: Unfortunately I can only get multiple stickies to work over multiple days if I edit the date or choose "announcement". If I want two stickies at the top that were made on different days(and to have them stay there), I need to edit them to the latest day or set hem as "announcement".

    Adhesive was def a notch up on this.

    Yeah after using your plugin a bit, it seems it's a few notches above adhesive. I was wrong. Thanks for the excellent resource.
