Created Child Theme – Formatting Missing

I’m not trained in this stuff so my knowledge is basic. Please dumb it down.

I created the Twenty Thirteen Child them and here is the result:

Child Theme:
In preview mode the switch looks fine. The header is missing but I thought I can could go live an re-upload the custom header. However, once I went live the site images and text were all there but the style was gone and the everything was on the left margin of the screen.

The next thing I noticed was that in the Child Theme there was a CSS file referencing the parent theme “@import url(“../twentythirteen/style.css”);” but the others were not there.

Question:
Am I really close? Is there possibly just a small detail I missed to make the switch?
