Links Not Found in Chrome and IE

I have a problem with thumbnails linking to Instagram (Both in widget form and in short-code form): They display perfectly and the links work in Firefox. However, the same is not true for chrome and ie. No, it’s not a WP thing, Tried it in 3.6. and again in 3.7.1. No luck. I’ve gone through the Support forum and only one person had an issue with IE (but we all know about IE), 7 months ago. Is this a recent thing or only unique to me?
