visual editor compatability problem?

I’ve searched all morning for this problem, and I couldn’t find a dupe thread.

I upgraded to 2.5 yesterday and everything seems to be running fine except for the buttons that pop-up a window on visual editor. the ‘insert link’ button or the ‘edit image’ button. it pops up the box that would usually let me enter and format the link, or image, but the box remains blank.

this problem is only on my computer (winXP) in both firefox and IE, I tested it on multiple other computers and everything is fine.

ideas?
