We have Ultimate SEO on most of our blogs, we set the script to allow meta keywords, something it doesn’t do automatically (don’t know why).

So now I’m looking at the code of my main blog page and it shows SEO by Ultimate SEO but no keywords.

Posts allow me to add keywords, so they are on posts, but the main blog page says SEO by Ultimate SEO and there are no keywords.

Our own SEO on our main site landing page is done by hand, so it’s got a lot of page 1 pop on SE’s, but the blog doesn’t allow me to put keywords on the main blog page for some reason.

Anyone working with SEO widgets that allow better control?

I was pretty happy with Ultimate until I saw no keywords on the main blog page.

you can set keywords for main page and cat pages and pages inside the script

it’s under the seo link on left side of page

I found it after I posted this

The Meta Keyword Editor has to be enabled to do this. Go to Modules >>> Meta Keywords >>> and from there you can edit all pages, posts, main page of site from there.

Meta Keywords by default are typically deprecated in search engines (ignored) as they use far more significant means of determining the value of a page.

So, once the Meta Keyword Editor is enabled, you can add keywords (on the page or post) using tab to the right under Misc. or edit in mass (up to 100 at a time) using the Meta Keyword Editor under Modules.

    Hope this helps.
