• Hello All

I have an issue that seems to have solutions out the world but no really well defined plan of attack.

I need to have full SSL for the entire front end of some sites in my multisite installation. The main site does not need SSL. We have hundreds of sites in the network and right not we have 10 that need https for every page of the entire site.

We are using domain mapping as well so these are NOT subdomains or directories they are full urls.

I am not concerned about the admin area and that tends to be the easy solution for enabling SSL on multisite. If your solution comes with or excludes https://domain.com/wp-admin I really don’t mind either way.

This is for compliancy for our clients and their “partners”. Without SSL our clients will lose compliancy and this has a major impact on their business. So we have no other solution other than to enable SSL for these clients domains on our network.

I know this is possible to do because we are doing it now with our hosting provider. They offer this as a service but I can’t get a clear understanding of how to actually duplicate it. So if I’m ever in a situation where I need to move from this provider, I will be at a loss.

I know that this has more to do with server configurations than anything else. If anyone has any experience with this I would greatly appreciate any help.

    thank you

    Jesse
