• I was prompted to update my wordpress to the latest version on my website. It keeps saying the following message:

“Welcome to the famous five minute WordPress installation process! You may want to browse the ReadMe documentation at your leisure. Otherwise, just fill in the information below and you’ll be on your way to using the most extendable and powerful personal publishing platform in the world.”

So I fill in all of my information, and it keeps freezing on this page after I click “Install WordPress” at the bottom of the form. Nothing happens and it won’t let me log onto my website, it just keeps prompting me with this page and never going further.

And then, when I try to go to my website, it shows the following message:

“The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”

Help! How do I fix this??

Update: After freezing for about 20 minutes, I get the following message:

“You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first”

What old database tables specifically do I need to clear?

Hi, does anyone know how to fix this issue?

It appears after I’ve been working on my blog for a couple hours. It asks me to install wordpress, when I have wordpress already. Then it freezes after I put in all of my information. After a not working for about 30 minutes to an hour, this all goes away. This has happened about 4 times now.

Hi, does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Its quite common issue, usually happens when Plugins, complicated Themes are not deactivated and auto-update button is clicked. Do you have a full working backup?
