• Upgraded to 3.7 several days ago. Today, continued writing content and tried to insert a photo into page via media library. It does not insert. A shaded rectangular box appears with no picture and the text line is dropped by about 5 inches. What i did:
    1. Switched to basic wp theme 20/12.
    2. Deactivated all plugins.
    3. Usually use Mozilla and switched to IE9.
No luck. Still broken. If this is NOT fixable, can we find WP 3.61 and load that again? Otherwise, out come the backups. Thanks for the help.

  • See if this is the issue you have –

If not, can you post a link to your site with all plugins deactivated and twentythirteen theme active?

Okay back. WPyogi. I read the thread you sent. Helpful. I did a test page and put in a picture. Same thing happened ie a blank space filling up the visual editor screen with some dummy text pushed down about 3 inches. However, when i go to text/html editor everything is there with the correct alignment. When I preview, everything is perfect; right where I put the image!! This problem is in the VISUAL editor. A pain when you are writing/formatting content. Any help? Things are better but…Thanks very much.

Wp Yogi…..I got rid of an image caption than tried to insert the photo into a page and perfect! So I agree with “known issues” there is an issue with photo captions in 3.7. Hope Mr. Oz can fix this quick!

Yeah, the fix is in WP3.7.1 – which is supposed to be out “very soon” – at least so far as we’ve heard. Hang tight :).
