    and I can link page to page but want visitors to be able to click on a chapter title or poem name and go straight to it

  • First, install the Ultimate TinyMCE plugin and configure it. It provides an ‘anchor’ button to create anchor links.

    Once you have that set up, use these steps to create the links:

    1. Place the cursor where you want the link and click the anchor icon.
    2. Type in the name for the anchor and click ‘Insert’.
    3. Highlight the word which will link to this anchor and click the link icon.
    4. Use ‘#anchorname’ for the URL, replacing ‘anchorname’ with the name you used.
    5. Click ‘Add Link’.

    My only problem is that the anchor point takes one slightly lower in the page than I would prefer

    If you are setting the anchor at the beginning of a paragraph, instead just put it at the end of the preceding one.
