I’m a novice at this so any help would be much appreciated. I recently updated to the most recent version of this theme and it seems my images from the posts that are on the main page have disappeared. The featured image is still there and the images are still in the actual posts…not sure how to get them back. My site is http://www.howtofeedaloon.com

Hi wesleyloon…what was your solution so if anyone else experiences this, they will know 🙂

I’m not sure if this changed when I uploaded the latest version of the theme but when I first developed the blog, my entire post would appear on the homepage until I added the “see more” button to the code….I usually added this after the first image so the image would appear on the homepage.

When I updated, my posts were automatically truncated ignoring my “see more” button therefore eliminating my images from the homepage.

When I went back into each post and selected a featured image, the posts went back to the original way I had them on the homepage along with the image and “see more” button…all better.

Actually, I stand corrected. The truncating is the same but by selecting a featured image, I know have the image on the homepage. I can live with the automatic truncating so i will just go into each post and delete the “see more” button.

Yes, that will do it. I also just uploaded a new update. I’ve had some people not happy that I had made a change to do excerpts only, so I added a couple theme options to let the user choose if they want the content (where you add your own read more) or an excerpt for posts in the blog. I also added custom excerpt length. Just waiting for the review team to review it and approve it but once done, Luminescence will be version 1.1.8

So part of this was my fault for not realizing not everyone wants an excerpt, likewise, not everyone wants just the content method either.

If you want this newer version now before they review it, contact me from my site and I can send it to you.

That’s awesome! Thanks so much! Now the question is to read more or not to read more? 🙂
